Most people will resist your biggest dreams. What can you do about it?
What do you do when your big dreams evoke big fear and resistance in others? This video helps you answer that question.
People’s fear is real. And their fears could shut you down if you don’t know how to work with them.
Why not just write off the people who can’t dream big with you? “They’re dinosaurs and scaredy cats. They’re unenlightened.”
If you do write them off, you’ll almost certainly fail.
The more powerful leadership move is to engage them. That’s because:
1. They know some important things you don’t. If you act as if they’re complainers to be ignored or cut from the team, you’ll overlook real issues that could sink your dreams.
2. You can’t succeed without them. The MAJORITY of people initially react with mild to extreme fear to a bold new goal. To succeed, you’re going to need their support.
3. They’re powerful. When they move past their initial fear reactions, they can be powerful people who are great fun to work with. They’re human, just like you and me.
This video gives guidance on how to create success with people who might be afraid of your big dreams coming true.
